Bummer - T-ball conflict again tonight!
Canoe Day-Trip at Riverside Canoe
July 12, 2009 from 12:30pm to 6pm
SUNDAY JULY 12, about 1pm at Riverside canoe in honor on the Platte River
We will go right after church and meet there about 12:30 or as soon as you can. (pack a lunch or eat on your way out:)
Cost:
$39 per canoe
$28 for a kayak
FREE if you bring...
you could come another night. It's hit or miss. One night last year we didn't have any subs and it was not much fun.

I checked up more about the snake symbol.
Here's wikipedia's entry on the Rod of Asclepius. Under "Professional Usage" you find that it's the symbol of the American Medical Association (AMA) among several others. There's also mention of Moses' snake:
