September issue of the Banner.
Following this I will also post my response to his response, which the Banner has decided not to print.

JEFF: I'd like to hear about how you came to faith in Christ, and how you were called to a music ministry.
ANGELA: I’ve always believed in God and been cognizant of something more at work in and around me. What was lacking was the knowledge that God needs and wants to be a part of my life and actually loves me. I had a gnawing vacancy that I tried to fill with all kinds of things. In college, I hit bottom. I was raising my little boy by myself and making all kinds of choices that diminis…

Exploring the Dialectic of Faith and Reason
Traverse City Record-Eagle
By BRYAN BERGHOEF
Local columnist
When I got up this morning, the sun was shining. I was a bit surprised, because the forecast called for clouds and rain, but not entirely. In other words, it was not out of the realm of normal experience. After all, even if there are clouds, the sun is still "shining." The difference is that my view of it is b…

Joe and I were on our way back from Ann Arbor this weekend and passed a church that had a sign with this message... "Even Jesus had a fish story." It made me laugh out loud as I realized that I have a few myself. This is one I had blogged about a few years back and thought I'd share it with you. If you have a fish story... feel free to contribute!

I've taken the first step towards finding a new job - I've decided that I need one! A major step, however, it's only the tip of a very large iceberg. It used to be easier... the only standards I had were "no fast food" and "not meijer." Now I feel like I have to exceed my previous work with something even better. This means resumes and cover letters, and a lot less options. The fact that I finished a resume is an accomplishment, but will it even get me anywhere? I don't know.
This is definitely…
